Description It’s hard to imagine a Quaker sampler without bird motifs. They’re found on medallions and as beloved filler motifs. This new sampler is inspired by Quaker motifs, but clearly isn’t a traditional Quaker sampler. It is a monochrome sampler but you can play with colour, as the cover art suggests. TECHNICAL DETAILS This design has a total of about 13570 crosses (depending on personalisation), and measures 201 wide and high. It features only full crosses and no specialty stitches. The graph below gives size- and floss estimates for a wide range of materials. Floss calculations are based on working with 2 strands on 28- to 36-count linen (14- to 16-count aida). Higher counts use a single strand. You are free to stitch with as many strands as you like. You can personalise your sampler by adding your initials to the wreath, using the alphabet at the top of the sampler.
