How to Use HERB-SUPERB Soil Building For new soil mixes, HERB-SUPERB should be used at up to 3.5% of total mix volume. For example, in a 40L batch, this equates to 1.4L of HERB-SUPERB. For a low-charge mix, use 1% (400mL per 40L). For a medium-charge, use 2% (800mL), and for a high-charge, use 3.5% (1.4L). The BALANCE formula is recommended for general-purpose soil building. For best results, combine HERB-SUPERB with STONE-AGE at a 1:1 ratio. Thoroughly mix into base soil materials, moisten to a “moist cake” texture, and allow the soil to rest, covered, for at least two weeks before use. Soil Recharging To recharge used soils, apply HERB-SUPERB at rates of 1% to 2.5% of volume, depending on how depleted the soil is. For example, to recharge 40L: • Light recharge: 1% (400mL HERB-SUPERB 200mL STONE-AGE) • Moderate recharge: 1.5% (600mL HERB-SUPERB 300mL STONE-AGE) • Heavy recharge: 2.5% (1L HERB-SUPERB 500mL STONE-AGE) Use the BALANCE formula unless stage-specific nutrition is needed. Mix thoroughly with moistened soil and rest for 2 weeks before planting. Planting Holes Use HERB-SUPERB at up to 2%, mixing thoroughly with existing soil in each planting hole. For a typical hole (2 spades wide, 1 deep), apply 1 cup of HERB-SUPERB and 1/4 cup of STONE-AGE. This method provides a strong nutritional foundation and promotes early microbial activation. Top Dressing Top dressing can be done throughout the plant’s life cycle. Apply around the drip line (avoid direct stem contact), followed by watering. For maintenance, apply approx. 3mL per 1L of container soil (e.g., 1 Tbsp HERB-SUPERB 1 tsp STONE-AGE for a 5L pot). For aggressive feeding, use 6mL per 1L (e.g., 2 Tbsp HERB-SUPERB 2 tsp STONE-AGE for a 5L pot). Cover with mulch (like ALFA-MULCH) for best results. For autoflowers, start top dressing around week 3–4, gradually increasing the dose as plants mature. Rotate formulas: • SUPERGRASS for vegetative push • BALANCE for pre-flower to early bloom • MEGA YIELD for mid-to-late bloom and ripening Compost & Nutrient Teas HERB-SUPERB can be used in teas as a microbial feedstock or direct nutrient source. • Microbe Teas: 20L of chlorine-free water 1/2 cup HERB-SUPERB (BALANCE) 1 tsp STONE-AGE 1 cup compost/soil/castings. Brew 12–24 hrs with proper oxygenation. • Nutrient Teas: 20L of chlorine-free water 1 cup HERB-SUPERB (match formula to stage) live microbe source (e.g., ANTI-MATTER, RHIZO-MOJO). Brew for 24 hrs. • Do not use additional sugars (like molasses)—HERB-SUPERB already provides balanced microbe feedstocks. Always strain before use and apply immediately after brewing. Teas should smell earthy, not foul.
